Save the Children - Associate Director, Major Gifts
The Associate Director, Major Gifts will collaborate and support the development and implementation of an intensive fundraising strategy focused on prospects for major gifts to Save the Children. S/he will maintain relationships with existing major donors, identify prospects, cultivate, solicit and steward both new and existing donors.
Responsibilities

Increase the numbers of high net worth donors with capacity and inclination to make six and seven figure gifts, and increase the size of their gifts.

Research and write proposals for submission to donors and prospects.

Monitor all prospect contacts to ensure positive and purposeful prospect and donor relations.

Maintaining donor database

Identify major donor prospects and develop individualized donor strategies in order to engage major donors with Save the Children and connect them with senior leadership.

Execute the donor cultivation strategy and make ongoing assessments and adjustments, as needed, to ensure successful solicitations. Meet agreed upon revenue targets as assigned.
Required

Bachelors’ Degree and minimum 5-7 years fundraising experience.

Proven ability to build strong relationships with a variety of constituents and high net worth individuals.

Proven track record of raising six and seven figure gifts.

Exceptional listener with ability to understand the needs and motivations of others, find common ground and build trust with internal and external stakeholders, and synthesize a wide range of information into compelling narratives.

Excellent writing, communications, and presentation skills.

Approx. 30% travel, primarily domestic
