Director of Advancement, Planned Gifts (990191), Kent State University
The Director of Advancement for Planned Gifts will assist in advancing the
Planned Giving program through discovery, cultivation and solicitation of
philanthropic intent through private charitable gifts from a personal portfolio
of prospects and unassigned prospects, as developed, with an emphasis on planned
gifts. Reports to the Executive Director, Center for Gift & Estate
Planning. A competitive salary package includes opportunity to earn
incentive pay as additional income based on exceeding performance metrics.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing,
communications, education or a relevant field is required. Five years of
progressively responsible fund raising and/or sales experience is required.
Prefer prior experience with major or planned giving preferably in higher
education. Must be able to travel extensively, locally and out-of-state
(approx. 60% travel).
The Institutional Advancement office has just completed the university’s
Centennial Campaign and raised a record-breaking $265 million, surpassing its
goal by $15 million.
