DRG has been retained by Vista Del Mar (Vista) to assist in their search for its next CEO. Vista is dedicated to serving children suffering from social, emotional, behavioral and developmental challenges, and provides services that encourage children, adolescents and their families to lead self reliant, stable and productive lives. Today, Vista delivers a range of services that makes it one of Southern California's most comprehensive and unified care facilities, serving over 5,000 children and their families on an annual basis. Vista has a $35 million budget, 90% of which is government-funded, and approximately 475 staff members.

This is an exciting opportunity to head a premier, 104-year old human service agency housed on a 20- acre campus in the heart of Los Angeles. The incoming CEO should be an experienced senior executive who can advance and lead the agency as it considers new ways to meet the growing and changing needs of those they serve. S/he will work to increase the agency's overall visibility and will collaborate with the Board on policy, finance and fundraising issues. The CEO will serve as the agency’s primary public representative, interacting with the community, government agencies and school districts as needed.

Candidates should have executive management experience within an agency/organization of comparable budget size, along with expertise in healthcare and/or human service programs and delivery. S/he should have demonstrated success in working with private and public funders, and the ability and enthusiasm to engage and solicit supportive funds for the agency. The incoming CEO should be a dynamic, well-spoken, highly creative and intelligent leader and problem solver, who is passionate and committed to Vista's mission and history, and appreciative of the Jewish values that guide the agency.
