Executive Director

Opportunity For Independence, Inc. (OFI) is a major non-profit Marin County provider of services to adult clients with developmental disabilities and mental health issues. Operating residential facilities and day programs, OFI delivers individualized programs that improve the quality of life for its clients. OFI seeks an executive director to lead the organization to the next level by extending its vision and outreach. This special person will work with an experienced and dedicated management team and report to a volunteer board of committed professionals.

A highly competitive candidate will profile like this:

• A skillful leader who successfully engages a team, resulting in improved client services and enhanced branding
• A highly effective communicator who connects with staff, interfaces easily with the Board, and enjoys broadcasting a positive image in the community
• An individual with empathy for our special clients and a personal drive for excellence in addressing quality of life issues; clinical expertise and / or social work experience is a plus
• Education and leadership experience equivalent to a masters level as well as matching life experience; achieved a BA or BS; advanced degree desirable
• A joyful and caring spirit who demonstrates the ability to balance business objectives with daily satisfaction at work.
