The West Point Association of Graduates raises funds for West Point that provide the “Margin of Excellence” in the cadet experience and helps to build America’s next generation of great leaders.
West Point Association of Graduates (WPAOG) is seeking a Grant Manager to provide professional support to the Development Team.
The incumbent assists in identifying grant opportunities, manages interdisciplinary teams to develop proposals, leads grant writing efforts, assures compliance with grant reporting requirements, and other development related tasks. This position reports directly to the Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations.
The Grant Manager will work closely with the Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations and USMA staff, to gather information on USMA needs, develop proposals, and manage received grants. They will be responsible for maintaining a system for continuous update of gifts received, stewardship reporting requirements, and grants pending. Also, the incumbent will meet and work closely with Academy leadership and staff in order to gather information, conduct research on philanthropic opportunities, develop a strong working knowledge of the Academy and ensure the proper creation and management of grants and/or gifts. In addition, the incumbent will act as Point of Contact (POC) for one or more Campaign Academy needs.
Strong organizational and analytical skills and excellent written communication skills are required. The incumbent must possess excellent interpersonal skills and project management skills, be team-orientation, and be flexible in responding to changing priorities and schedule conflicts. In addition, the candidate must have proven grant writing experience and demonstrate a passion for fundraising. The incumbent must be a self-starter and problem solver.
A Bachelors Degree is required, Master’s preferred with experience in Raiser’s Edge Database, Advance CS or other similar software. The incumbent should possess 3-5 years experience in fundraising or grant writing. We offer excellent benefits and a pleasant working environment. Salary commensurate with skills and experience.
