Associate Director, Individual Giving
Children's Aid Society
New York,
New York
Children's Aid Society - Children's Aid Society
The Carrera Program seeks a high skilled fundraiser to serve as Associate Director, Individual Giving. This position reports to the Director of the Carrera Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention Program and collaborates closely with the Children’s Aid Society’s Director of Major Gifts.
The Carrera Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention program is a program of the Children’s Aid Society, providing an evidence-based, holistic approach to empower youth and help them to avoid pregnancy by developing personal goals and the desire for a productive future. Carrera has a highly developed and tested model, and is one of the only adolescent pregnancy prevention programs in the country with statistically proven effectiveness. CAS-Carrera’s philosophy is based on the belief that young people prevent pregnancy – we do not – and an understanding that when teens believe they have value and a real chance for success, they begin to see a future in which teen pregnancy has no part.
The Carrera Program is at an exciting point in its history. The program has grown significantly since its inception in 1984; today, the model reaches over 3,400 youth across 29 sites in the U.S., in both in-school settings and after-school settings through partnerships. The Associate Director, Individual Giving will play a critical role in achieving ambitious growth goals by working closely with the Carrera leadership team and CAS development team to raise funds needed to support New York City program sites and the national headquarters. This position is based in New York City and may require travel within the New York metropolitan area.
