Unique People Services - Director of Human Resources
Full time: Mon thru Fri - 9:00 am – 5:30 pm
Position reports to: CFO
Responsibilities
-
Oversee and supervise all aspects of the Human Resources Department.

Manage day to day administration of all employee benefit plans (health, dental, 401 (k) etc. Provide advice and counsel to employees and managers concerning benefits related issues. Research available employee benefit plans.

Review and approve requisitions for new hire and authorize job postings.

Offer guidance to employees and managers with regard to agency personnel policies. Recommend and participate in formulating and updating personnel policies and procedures/job descriptions to ensure compliance with EEO, ADA, FMLA, HIPAA and any other personnel related legal requirements.

Provide CFO and Executive Director with reports on open positions, new hire, termination, etc. on a monthly basis.

Represent agency in negotiations and assist administrators and managers in interpreting adhering to contract terms.

Mediate and investigate complaints, grievances, labor disputes and other personnel related matters. Meet with affected parties and facilitate resolution or assist in making final decisions.

Attend meetings related to employee benefits, unemployment hearings, EEO, Human Rights and other personnel related matters.

Attend meetings, conferences and workshops presented by government agencies and provider groups regarding changes in labor laws, personnel policies and benefit plans.

Conduct Human Resources related in service training with Director, Manager and staff as necessary.

Consult with UPS Labor Attorney as necessary.

Ensure that personnel records are maintained up to date according to laws and regulations and in a confidential and organized matter.

Provide information to auditors and funding sources as requested by the CFO.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business or related field with eight (8) or more years of related experience in and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in public or private personnel management. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from all level of staff and the general public. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Should have knowledge of HR database and word processing software.
Additional requirements: Must have a strong background in employee relations, government/labor laws and regulations; excellent verbal and written communication skills a must.
