Be part of the American Red Cross-Greater New York Region (ARC-GNY) a volunteer –led, humanitarian organization providing disaster relief emergency assistance, disaster relief and education in the United States. ARC-GNY offers services in other areas including: communication services and comfort for military personnel and their family members; the collection, processing and distribution of blood and blood products; educational programs on preparedness and safety; and international relief and development programs.
ARC-GNY seeks a creative, experienced results-oriented Senior Major Gifts Officer-Foundation Partnerships to join their dynamic Development team. The ideal candidate will bring a solid track record of increasing major gift and foundation support with demonstrable skill in closing major gifts. The Senior Major Gifts Officer-Foundation Partnerships will work collaboratively and in concert with a broad range of internal and external constituencies including the Senior Director of Development Corporate and Foundation Partnerships, Regional Development team, Regional Chapter Executive, Divisional Fundraising Vice President, department heads, National Office staff and a variety of Foundation Board members and staff.
Requirements include: significant expertise with the New York philanthropic marketplace with progressive experience in development programs; experience with international and national foundations; the ability to relate well and work effectively with multiple constituencies and audiences while engendering trust and confidence with new donor prospects; a team player committed to developing and working within a collaborative environment ; a self-motivated, self-starter that easily adapts to a changing environment and culture while ensuring the highest customer service orientation; excellent writing, organizational, interpersonal and research skills; a Bachelor’s degree is required, an advanced degree is highly desirable.
