TITLE: Major Gifts Officer (Telecommuting possible)

SALARY: $70K-$80K+, benefits, remote work environment and a healthy performance bonus included (If your salary requirements fall above the range, you may still be consider by the organization. Please specify your salary requirements in your application.)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

This is an exciting opportunity for a fundraising professional with major giving experience to work from a home office qualifying, contacting, and cultivating potential donors from the prospect pool of members and other interested parties. With an extremely reasonable first year goal, you will build effective professional relationships with current donors as well as developing and effectively managing a large active portfolio of priority prospects. You will have the opportunity to prospect and identify new potential donors and make effective face-to-face presentations as well as written solicitations to donors/prospects. If you enjoy the investigative process and face-to-face nature of major gifts solicitation, this could be your next career move.

QUALIFICATIONS:

The position requires a Bachelor’s Degree and 3-5+ years of major gifts experience. A strong strategic capacity, excellent verbal and written communication skills, political acumen and a sense of humor are a must.

Your recent work history should include prospecting, cultivating and soliciting current and potential donors. Ability to travel extensively for donor visits and fundraising events (including non-traditional work hours) is a must.
