Principal Gifts Officer
We are currently seeking a senior-level development professional to help expand the impact of New York's #1-ranked hospital (U.S. News & World Report). Bring your advanced familiarity with the New York City philanthropic community, and help change lives here and across the world.
As Principal Gifts Officer, you will assume exclusive responsibility for donors at the $1 million level and above. That means planning and executing capital campaign strategies that support a variety of leading clinical programs. Recent gifts have brought about the expansion of our pediatric Emergency Department, a state-of-the-art ambulatory care center, and two new comprehensive cardiac care facilities.
Join our mission-driven organization and build an impressive portfolio of major donors. Design, implement and assess solicitation strategies. Maintain knowledge of relevant clinical developments, and serve as an inspiring ambassador for a world-renowned university hospital.
This position reports to the director level, which maintains direct communication and collaboration with the hospital President's office.
The official title of this position is Senior Major Gifts Officer.
Key Criteria
Qualified candidates possess a bachelor's degree, supported by at least seven years of progressive development experience. Demonstrated success in soliciting and closing gifts is required.
Candidates must exhibit superior communication and organizational skills as well as comprehensive knowledge of all facets of development.
