The Balboa Park Pass is a groundbreaking new program created by the Balboa Park Cultural Partnership. It will allow individuals and families to purchase one annual pass for unlimited entry to 17 admissions-based cultural attractions in San Diego’s historic Balboa Park. The Park Pass program is an innovative venture for the cultural field and for Balboa Park – there are no other exact models.
The Park Pass Director is a new position for the BPCP. The Park Pass Director will launch the Park Pass program, which will include strategic planning and business model development; program/product development and oversight; financial and operational management; public relations and brand identity management; and personnel hiring and supervision for a team of 6+ staff members. Working collaboratively is inherent to the position. More than two years of extensive market research, business modeling, and feasibility assessment are available as a solid foundation for launching this program.
Qualifications: The following or an equivalent – A Bachelor’s degree or higher in a field related to the responsibilities of this position (Business Administration, Business Systems Analysis, Arts Administration, Museum Studies, Non-profit Management, etc); five years of experience at a senior management level; and demonstrated ability in: collaborative leadership, visionary program development and effective implementation, and customer service and/or membership programs. Experience in product development and/or life cycle management is preferred.
