The Director, Individual Giving (DIG) will play a critical role in realizing our 2015 vision in Los Angeles. Specifically, the DIG will drive an ambitious campaign to significantly increase the number of individual donors to Teach For America across the Greater Los Angeles area. The Individual Giving portfolio is currently a source of $2M in annual funding for the Los Angeles region. The DIG will be charged with growing this portfolio to at least $5M in annual funding over the next three years. As such, the DIG will be an important driver of the region's overall growth strategy, in our effort to support at least 500 corps members in Los Angeles by 2015.

We are seeking a Director of Individual Giving (DIG) to help lead our campaign to raise more than $7M next year. The DIG will report directly to and work closely with the Managing Director of Individual Giving on setting and executing high level development strategy for individual giving and working directly with a portfolio of high stakes donors and prospects. Teach For America in the Bay Area intends to grow its overall funding base from $12.1 million to just over $18 million in the next four years, which includes building a campaign to secure multi-year commitments and growth investments of $1 million and above. This individual must be comfortable in an entrepreneurial environment, possess an exceptionally high level of personal responsibility, and be equally comfortable managing back-end processes, engaging with donors and creating strategy.

Education and Professional Experience
