Wildlife Conservation Society - Assistant to the Executive Vice President
Assume primary responsibility for a broad and complex set of assignments related to the day-to-day coordination, administration and work of the Executive Vice President for Global Resources. Provide high-level administrative and executive support for the Executive Vice President; including task-based support for all relevant meetings. Serve as principal liaison for EVP with members of WCS Board of Trustees, and other WCS departments and external organizations. The position requires strong managerial and administrative skills, the ability to work with the staff of Global Resources in its service to secure funding from diverse constituents.
Minimum of seven years' experience as an executive assistant or office manager; bachelor’s degree preferred; excellent computer skills, including proficiency with PowerPoint, and all other Microsoft Office suite applications and donor/constituent databases; excellent communications skills, both written and verbal and strong editing skills; mature self-starter with strong work ethic, exceptional judgment; well organized and the ability to set priorities, manage time efficiently and meet critical deadlines; strong interpersonal skills, and an ability to work well with a wide variety of people in a team setting and independently. A high degree of integrity, tact, discretion and experience in maintaining confidentiality; a sense of humor; excellent calendar management skills, including the coordination of complex, multiple schedules; strong project management and administrative skills, and the ability to successfully create and/or modify processes. Ability to manage a daily workload and be in constant communication with the EVP whose schedule can vary significantly, as she regularly attends meetings and visits with donors, prospective donors, board members and other business contacts, and the Assistant’s schedule will need to be flexible as work may be required in the evening and on weekends, depending on the scheduled meetings or events. Experience with fundraising principles and practices preferred, and roles in supporting fundraising executives, professional services, sales or marketing environment a plus.
