Job Summary:
- Produce daily, weekly, monthly and ad hoc reports as requested by assigned teams. Develop specific reports and analysis to support the campaign and other assigned goals of alumni relations and development. Recommend, design and execute data mining, modeling, statistical analysis and reporting projects for assigned teams;
- Proactively recommend, design, and carry out an ongoing program of analysis using statistical techniques to understand the behavior of donors, prospects, alumni and friends in relation to the University and identify those most likely to be willing/able to be engaged and/or provide financial support. Serve as project manager responsible for creating project plans, allocating time for execution of projects, ensuring quality results and meeting established deadlines;
- Interface with appropriate team managers to develop focused, effective reporting design and metrics. May work with consultants as necessary to achieve the right balance of tools and expertise for the project. Communicate progress and results to all stakeholders. Understand the context and implications of all projects. As a "power user" of the Griffin database, understand how to access and apply all manner of data from the system to address business needs;
- Serve as technology liaison with database and IT teams to help facilitate data transfer and new technological tools introduced within the team. Serve as consultant, developing expertise about reporting and pulling data out of the system. Assist with development and testing of new Griffin reports;
- Support senior management by creating analyses to support the capital campaign. Produce customized management reports, as needed. Respond to urgent or time sensitive management requests. Ensure analyses are delivered with high quality;
- Develop and maintain relationships with colleagues in the Division, across campus and at peer institutions to keep pace with best tools, techniques and practices in application of quantitative analysis techniques to alumni relations and development programs. Find and apply new tools and techniques to achieve maximum effectiveness in data informed management;
- Will be working in a production environment and supporting staff in planning, executing and evaluating solicitation programs. While many of the duties are analytical, production of detailed data lists for high-volume, complex mail, email, phone and peer-to-peer solicitation is also required.
Education: Bachelor's degree or higher required.
Experience
- A minimum of three years of professional work experience analyzing and synthesizing complex data sets and producing highly readable, informative reports required;
- Demonstrated expertise with a variety of analytical and database software including Excel and Access required;
- Demonstrated experience with presentation software required.
