Grantmakers for Education - Executive Assistant
The Executive Assistant will provide high level administrative support to the Executive Director and assist with special projects that advance GFE’s strategic goals. Specifically, the position will support the Executive Director with daily activities, including managing the ED’s calendar, arranging meetings and travel and managing email and drafting correspondence. In addition, this position will provide scheduling and administrative support to GFE’s national board of directors and board committees, coordinate logistics for all board meetings and take board minutes. This position will also coordinate various cross-departmental projects by efficiently managing timelines, documents, meetings and communications.
Based in Portland, OR, the position will report to the Executive Director. As a premier national organization managing a full and complex agenda, the contributions of each team member are essential to the organization’s success, and this position plays a critical role in supporting the effectiveness of GFE’s leader. Thus, the successful candidate will be a highly organized professional with sound judgment who is skilled at anticipating needs and addressing them proactively. S/he must have strong oral and written communications skills, and interact with senior leaders with confidence and diplomacy.
