People & Systems is assisting an iconic nonprofit/renowned Brooklyn institution with their search for a Lawson Systems Manager.
Under the direction of the Manager of Enterprise Applications, the Lawson Systems Manager will be responsible for implementing, maintaining and coordinating the Lawson Financial and Human Resources System. In this role you will oversee analysts supporting systems in both the HR and finance departments.
Specific duties include acting as the main liaison for Lawson, ACS, EDGE, ADP, BSI, MHC, WS-FTP, PGP, Dashboard Gear, and any other financial software that is implemented. Using your expert skills you will troubleshoot functional and technical issues on the software, coordinating patch installations, testing new application versions and technology releases. Working closely with managers throughout the organization you will implement new Lawson modules and other software, integrating with current work flow in the department. You will implement and maintain Lawson security - includes setting up Lawson logins, passwords, user profiles, building security rules, and installing desktop software.
As well, you will produce ad-hoc data reporting and analysis using such tools as Crystal Reports, Lawson Addins, MS Access, and other data extraction tools. Regarding finance specific functions, you will implement and maintain all check printing functions for Payroll and AP, including check printing hardware and software, the folder/sealer machine, and backing up the EDGE check printing system. In addition to staff training and procedural documentation, you will assist in making policy decisions concerning setup, procedures, and implementation regarding the Financial and HR Systems.
The position requires a Bachelors Degree, preferably in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field (finance or HR) and 3 to 5 years experience in System Administration, programming and systems integration management (SQL, Access or Oracle and Lawson Software or related ERP highly preferred) Experience in Finance/Human Resources administration knowledge and exceptional leadership as well as people/systems management skills are a must.
