People & Systems is assisting an iconic nonprofit/renowned Brooklyn institution with their search for an HRIS Analyst.
OPPORTUNITY:
As the HRIS Analyst you will be responsible for working with the Human Resources (HR) Department to analyze, design, build, test, deliver and maintain reports, dashboards and other data extracts as requested. Your understanding of Lawson software and SQL table queries/design will be critical to your success as you work on issues as reported and as part of project teams.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Specific duties include developing or assisting in the development of work plans, task sequencing, and the extent to which tasks may be performed concurrently; help in developing project cost and benefit estimates along with alternative recommendations for new systems or equipment installation or changes to existing ones. You will develop and document complete descriptions of all business requirements as specifications of work to be performed and advise internal IT as well as HR users on the different technical options available to resolve organizational issues/requirements. In this position you will prepare and administer unit and system tests as needed to quality assure all new programs and code changes and documents results along with supporting new or existing applications and evaluating previously developed programs, suggesting alternatives to determine appropriate solutions. As the HR Analyst, you will provide production support to systems according to the on-call schedule and as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, HR or other related disciplines, 2-3 years of programming and/or database experience with related applications (Lawson or HR applications highly preferred). Ability to manage multiple projects/tasks, excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills coupled with ability to perform data analysis and system analysis are a must.
