20 -30 hours a week. Collect and maintain grant/award work flows for each grant/award making department Duties included but are not limited to;
-
Providing best practices and assist in defining a work flow that describes how requests are to be handled – from the time we receive them to the end of the grant/award process.

Review grant/award workflows yearly and coordinate possible updates, changes or modifications.

Identify synergies in various grant/award work flows
-
Define the system and coding sheet classification codes in order to best suit the work flow and reporting of each grant/award making department
-
Set the system preferences in order to make data entry efficient and accurate
-
Coordinate with grant/award making departments to create and maintain correspondence and write-up templates so that users can generate correspondence and write-ups
-
Create Default Grant Requirement Schedules that can be automatically applied to grants/awards – progress reports, financial reports, final reports, etc.

Maintain the integrity of the GIFTS data

Control access to the system using GIFTS security permissions
-
Coordinate with grant/award making departments to create and manage the reports library so that users can generate needed reports
-
Manage and/or provide staff training on correct and consistent use of GIFTS system, including orientation of new hire taking on grant/award responsibilities.

Staff liason with MicroEdge, monitor contract obligations, updates, upgrades and program enhancements.
Qualifications/Other:
-
Associate degree required; bachelor's degree preferred
-
Three to five years' experience in the philanthropy/nonprofit sector, specifically in grants administration
-
Demonstrated experience in MicroEdge GIFTS grants management system or comparable electronic grants management system

Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills

Strong knowledge and demonstrated capability in the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint),

Capacity to work productively and contribute in a team structure

Ability to work effectively both independently and in collaboration with colleagues
-
Strong communication skills: listening, speaking and writing
-
Ability to balance competing priorities and resolve any conflicts in collaboration with colleagues
-
Eagerness to learn, willingness to adapt to change, commitment to high quality standards, and an interest in the grant management work
