Chicago Training Center - Operations Coordinator
Through the sport of competitive rowing, Chicago Training Center creates opportunities for low-income and at-risk Chicago youth to challenge themselves to achieve their athletic and academic potential. Summary of Position
The basic function of the Operations Coordinator is to provide administration, structure, support, and oversight for the programmatic goals of Chicago Training Center. As a service to teens, we expect all directors to work together to collaboratively create a high-quality experience.
Major Duties and Responsibilities

Data Input (City Span, ASM, Regatta Central, USRowing, and CTC Systems).

Keep track of calendar dates and prioritize management.

Help identify vendors and solicit bids for Board/Executive Director approval. Prepare purchase orders and manage contracts with vendors.

Work with Secretary to design and implement document retention.

Work with Grant Writer to track and update deadlines.

Work with Mentor Coordinator to ensure contacts are updated and mentoring reports are filed.

Assist Gala Chair with administrative tasks related to CTC’s major annual fundraising event.

Assist Program Committee in coordinating activities with Chicago Park District staff.

Manage volunteers.

Meet weekly with Executive Director to update projects and progress.
Requirements/Qualifications

College Degree
-
Previous experience with personnel management.

Proficient in Windows Operations System and Microsoft Office (Word, Power Point, Excel).

Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred

Strong writing skills.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Understanding of youth development and engagement best-practices for the target communities.

Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.

Energetic team player who works well in collaborative situations.
Compensation and Expectations
-
Less than 20 hours of work per week
-
$10,000 contracted work with a $5,000 performance bonus
