Grants and Contracts Officer

The University of Nevada, Reno, a land grant research university, is recruiting for a Grants & Contracts Officer for subagreement oversight, preparation and compliance. Under the general direction of the Director of the Office of Sponsored Projects Administration (OSPA), the Grants & Contracts Officer will independently negotiate subagreements, ensure subagreements compliance with applicable laws, regulations, rules and guidelines; will provide guidance to Principal Investigators and Sponsored Projects staff regarding subcontracts and compliance. The Grants & Contracts Officer will also review and approve proposals and contracts for signature and assist with compliance audits as it pertains to subagreements.

Individuals with a legal background, contract experience, and/or Certified Research Administrators are encouraged to apply.

The required qualifications for this position include a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution of higher education and two years of experience (or Master’s Degree from accredited institution of higher education and one year of experience) in research compliance and administration.
