Amnesty International USA - Development Associate
Amnesty USA seeks an experienced, energetic and creative Development Associate to ensure the smooth operation of administration and systems functions within the Major Gifts team. Responsible for day-to-day administrative activities of the major gifts staff, including gift processing and acknowledgements, database information management and reporting, coordination of mass mailings, filing, and responding to donor inquiries as required. Select, train and supervise interns.
Responsibilities include:
Database Management:
-
Assist DDSO in the management of the 1,300,000 donor database and 900,000+ Web database. Help ensure integrity of Development systems through ongoing monitoring of input and output

Maintain Giving Units data entry instructions, manuals, policies and procedures

Maintain data hygiene standards for Giving Units records.

Produce EA and Giving Units reports, donor lists, contact reports using query tools

Manage Major Donors records in Web database
Technical Assistance:
-
Manage stock donations processing – contacts with brokerage and stock donors. Maintain Web Stock donations page.

Produce weekly reports for each giving unit, reconcile with Finance on a regular basis and request adjustments/ chargebacks/ charges when needed

Backup in selected aspects of gift/data processing and DR Invoice processing when needed
Financial Management:

Backup Director of Development Systems and Operations in selected aspects of development department income reporting.

Assist with production and reconciliation of weekly and monthly income reports.

Other duties as assigned.
Desired Skills & Experience:
-
Bachelor’s degree required.
-
Two to three years data entry experience, preferably in fundraising.

Database management experience a must.
-
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Access.

Strong problem solving and organizational skills.

Able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
