Development Officer, Foundation and Corporate Relations

The Cleveland Orchestra’s Development department is seeking a dynamic, experienced fundraiser to join our team as Development Officer, Foundation & Corporation Relations. Reporting to the Director of Development, Institutional Giving, this position shares responsibility for the generation of $15+ million in annual revenue from institutional sources. This position has a focus on foundation and corporate relations, toward developing 6 and 7 figure major gifts in support of operations, programs and the comprehensive campaign. The Development Officer will maintain a portfolio of approximately 75-100 major gift prospects, and will conduct 12 -15 prospect meetings per month to move potential donors through the comprehensive campaign engagement and solicitation process.

Requirements include: Bachelor’s Degree in a related field, Master’s Degree preferred; 6+ years experience in diverse non-profit fundraising, with direct responsibility for foundation and corporate fundraising; demonstrated success consistently closing 6+ figure gifts; excellent organizational and interpersonal skills; accomplished in proposal development and writing; demonstrated proficiency in computer software programs, including experience with fundraising databases in a PC environment.
