Creative Time - Foundation and Individual Giving Associate
FOUNDATION: Create and complete proposals including narratives, budgets, work samples, and other supplementary materials as needed—including foundation, government, and corporate grants and sponsorship pitches. Strategize with Director of Development to create project specific and GOS funding plans. Collaborate with other departments to stay abreast of new projects and initiatives. Oversee research and identify new prospects with Development Associate.
INDIVIDUAL: Draft project pitches and individual giving requests as they arise. Develop copy for correspondence as needed. Work with Director of Development to strategize individual pitch campaigns for GOS and specific projects. Research new donor prospects in collaboration with Development Associate. Support Development Associate to maintain and code prospect targets in etapestry.
ADMINISTRATIVE: Maintain foundation, government, and corporate contacts in etapestry. Maintain calendar of grant reporting and proposal deadlines. Update and maintain funding spreadsheets to track pending and received monies. Track progress on project funding plans. Supervise Development intern.
Requirements: A creative and highly skilled writer who can shift easily between critical and business writing styles. Minimum two years Development experience desired. The ideal candidate has a passion for contemporary art, nuanced critical thinking skills, and a proven track record of writing successful grant proposals and individual pitches. Must be a highly organized multi-tasker who can prioritize tasks and act quickly on opportunities as they arise. Familiarity with Moves Management and etapestry a big plus. Must be well versed in the Microsoft Office suite. Must be an enthusiastic, dedicated worker and a team player.
Salary: Salary to commensurate with experience. This position is full-time plus benefits.
