E-Mail Marketing Coordinator (Contractor Position)

The Association of Small Foundations (ASF), the largest membership association in philanthropy, seeks an E-mail Marketing Coordinator to manage ASF’s e-mail marketing to members, prospective members, and the broader philanthropic community. ASF has a reputation for being a nimble and entrepreneurial organization that delivers high-quality services, and it seeks the same in an E-mail Marketing Coordinator.

The E-mail Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for producing weekly e-mail campaigns to be distributed to the association’s members and associated contacts (more than 4,500 individuals). Responsibilities include coordinating with staff across ASF’s departments to collect and synthesize content to feature in e-mails, using existing templates in Constant Contact and ASF brand/style guidelines to format content, and selecting and editing appropriate photos and graphics. In addition, the Coordinator should help us improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our e-mail communications by reviewing campaigns, providing internal staff with performance analysis, and making recommendations for keeping ASF’s e-mail campaigns in line with industry trends and best practices. The Coordinator must be a strong project manager, good communicator, detail-oriented, reliable, and able to meet deadlines.

This is a part-time, contractual position estimated at an average of 10 hours/week. Location and hours are flexible, but the contractor should be able to be on-site at ASF’s headquarters in Washington, DC, up to 4 hours/week and generally available during standard business hours. A bachelor’s degree is preferred and 3+ years of relevant experience are required.
