Major and Planned Gift Officer

The Major and Planned Gifts Officer is part of the team to raise $100 million in donations for an exciting capital project at White Plains Hospital. The position will have a portfolio of major donors and prospects to cultivate, qualify, solicit and steward for both outright gifts and planned gifts. S/he will be responsible for assisting in the planning, strategy setting and execution of all activities necessary to successfully secure gifts to meet the campaign goals.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience in major or planned gift fundraising;
• Must be highly energetic, and creative professional with a track record of cultivating and stewarding donor relationships;
• Excellent organization and project management skills and set priorities in a fast paced environment. Flexible and able to work well with a team to build momentum;
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and written communication skills;
• Familiarity with Raisers Edge or similar donor database system, and Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point;
• Demonstrated resourcefulness and strong problem-solving skills;
• Must be able to work occasional non-standard hours, including evenings, early mornings and weekends;
