Leadership Management Director

AIPAC - Leadership Management Director

The primary responsibility of the Michigan Leadership Management Director are the achievement of development-related objectives, leadership development of current AIPAC members and encourage pro-Israel political activism. The Michigan LMD will train and mobilize our volunteer lay leadership and be integrally involved in the development of their political activism. The LMD will also be responsible for the realization of a model for donor renewal, membership retention, public speaking engagements, community outreach, event planning and political mobilization. The position reports to the Michigan Area Director.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Achieve annual fundraising goals
  • Working with the Area Director to coordinate and execute annual development plan to include face-to-face solicitations of major donors
  • Identify, devevlop, and train AIPAC volunteer lay leadership structure based on campaign structure and needs-based assessment
  • Create a leadership path for activists
  • Educate community members regarding the political process and political analyses of the congressional districts in Michigan
  • Identify and recruit members for national AIPAC programs
  • Present educational briefings to leadership, members, and pro-Israel community regarding the latest developments in Israel and the Middle East at both small and large scale events
  • Work with the Area Director and Midwest Program Director. Manage and facilitate all aspects of AIPAC meetings and events from conceptualization to execution

Qualifications

  • Deep passion for strengthening the U.S.-Israel relationship
  • Ability and willingness to engage in extensive face-to-face solicitations
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability and willingness to travel
  • Knowledge of Israel and politics preferred
  • Bachelor's degree preferred with work experience in related field
  • Ability to work with AIPAC's diverse lay leadership
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to exercise considerable judgment and discretion
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Office Suites
  • Bachelor's degree preferred with work experience in related field
