Seattle based Solid Ground, (www.solid-ground.org) is seeking a dynamic President/CEO to collaborate with the Board of Directors and staff to lead this $25M community action agency to new heights. Solid Ground’s 30 programs help more than 64,000 households throughout King County each year to overcome poverty and build better futures. The agency is a national leader in initiatives against institutional racism and is committed to addressing it in the organization and the community. As the public representative and voice of the organization, the CEO is a spokesperson and advocate for an end to the hunger, homelessness, economic disadvantages, and social injustices within our communities. The new CEO will guide anti-racism initiatives and make recommendations about how to measure implementation of anti-racism initiatives agency wide.
We are looking for a champion of the mission who is experienced in garnering community and donor support of programs and revenue. S/he should inspire confidence among staff, board, donors and clients by actions and results.
We seek a leader who has a demonstrated track record of success in the following core competencies: Strategic vision and leadership, communication, staff management, administration, financial management, planning and program development, board relations, and client and community relations. The CEO will implement a newly developed strategic plan designed to integrate all programs and the Solid Ground brand into a holistic approach to improving client stability, while ensuring resources, budget, priorities and decision making processes are aligned with the mission, vision, values. The new CEO will partner with Board and staff to invigorate and aggressively pursue private funding.
Candidates should have 10 years of experience in general or executive management. A Masters level is preferred and non-profit experience is desired. The candidate can possess any combination of education and experience that show a proven track record of the work required. A deep commitment to anti-poverty and anti-racism is desired.
