AIPAC - Boston Area Director
The Boston Area Director is based in the New England Region's Boston headquarters. The successful candidate will direct pro-Israel activity and fundraising throughout Greater Boston, one of the most influential communities in the United States.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Managing the annual campaign by coordinating and executing an annual development plan
- Developing lay leadership structure to: cultivate, recruit and solicit new members, donors and prospects; organize pro-Israel political activism; create a leadership path for activists; identify and recruit appropriate members for national and regional programs
- Planning and executing large and small meetings and events including; annual fundraising events for major donors; the annual Leadership Dinner in Boston; working meetings with area leadership council; educational programs for area leadership; parlor meetings and outreach to new prospects; approximately 3 community-wide events per year
- Public speaking in small and medium-sized venues to brief the leadership, membership and pro-Israel community regarding the latest developments important to a strong U.S. Israel relationship
- Coordinating recruitment events for national initiatives including AIPAC's Policy Conference, National Summit on Foreign Policy & Politics and Missions
Qualifications
- Must have a strong passion for Israel and the US-Israel relationship
- Bachelor's degree and five years work experience in related field, or commensurate experience. Experience with annual campaign preferred
- Knowledge of Israel and politics highly desirable
- Experience in non-profit organizations preferred
- Proven track record for face-to-face solicitations or sales
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Outstanding organizational skills
- Public speaking skills
