Director of Development - Fundraising Organization, Legal Aid
Society of Rockland County Inc.
Exciting opportunity for an experienced professional interested in developing
and executing a fundraising plan for the Legal Aid Society of Rockland County
(LASRC), a not for profit organization which provides legal representation to
low income families in civil cases and children in the Rockland County Family
Court. LASRC’s annual budget is $2 million.
The Director of Development will report directly to the Executive Director and
will work closely with the Board in planning and implementing all annual and
capital fundraising strategies. Candidate must have experience in major/planned
giving campaigns, prospect research, solicitation activities, donor retention,
government and private grants, public relations and special events. Excellent
written and oral communications skills, strong interpersonal and organizational
skills and ability to meet deadlines a must.
The Director of Development will be a less than full-time position. Salary
will depend upon experience.
