Hours: Full Time (Mon - Fri)

Salary: Low $30,000s plus benefits
Heart of Brooklyn, a cultural partnership of six central Brooklyn institutions, is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual as a full-time Development/Administrative Associate. The Development/Administrative Associate will work directly with the Director and other staff to support of the fundraising goals and administrative capacity of the Heart of Brooklyn cultural partnership.
Responsibilities:
Assist with writing grant proposals, final reports, acknowledgment letters, and other reports for foundation, corporate, government and individual funders; maintain an organized fundraising schedule and development log; research foundations, corporations, and government sources for support; schedule meetings; manage office equipment and supplies; and limited bookkeeping duties as defined by HOB Director and Bookkeeper.
Qualifications:
The qualified candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree with 2-3 years experience working in fundraising and development. Computer skills (preferably Mac), including MS Office suite and internet research are essential. Applicants must have excellent writing and oral communication skills, be highly detail oriented, organized and able to work independently in a small, entrepreneurial office environment. Strong work ethic and good sense of humor expected.
