People & Systems is assisting the Center for Urban Community Services (CUCS) with their search for a Clinical Coordinator (LCSW) in their newest Brooklyn location.
MISSION:
The Center for Urban Community Services, a national leader in the development of effective housing and service initiatives for homeless people, invites applications for a Program Director position at the Hegeman, a newly constructed 161 unit permanent supportive housing residence located in Brooklyn, for low income tenants, many of whom will have histories of mental illness, homelessness, and substance abuse. The building is expected to receive a LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Safety Design) rating and will include a 24/7 attended lobby, a community garden, a computer room, and an exercise room.
CUCS will provide comprehensive on-site social services using a recovery orientation, which will include the implementation of evidence based practices such as Supported Employment and Wellness Self Management. The building is scheduled to open in March 2012 with an anticipated start date of December 2011 for the Program Director.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reporting to a Program Director, you will be responsible for working with a clinical team regarding administrative, program management and service delivery responsibilities. You will attain a thorough clinical understanding of the populations served (homeless/mentally ill) and a demonstrated ability to teach/guide others in the application of good practices, ensuring staff productivity and the achievement of measurable outcomes/recipient satisfaction. You will also have an opportunity to provide clinical services to individuals, crisis intervention and oversee group treatment/housing services.
QUALIFICATIONS:
The position requires a LCSW and an ability to foster collaborative management based on open, transparent, continual communication, sharing, and inclusive decision-making is strongly desired. Attention to detail, strong writing and verbal communication skills, and computer literacy are a must. Candidates without an LCSW will NOT be considered. Application Instructions
