Clinton Health Access Initiative - HR and Recruitment Coordinator

Founded in 2002, by President William J. Clinton, the Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI) is a global health organization committed to strengthening integrated health systems around the world and expanding access to care and treatment for HIV/AIDS, Malaria and other illnesses. Based on the premise that business oriented strategy can facilitate solutions to global health challenges, CHAI acts as a catalyst to mobilize new resources and optimize the impact of these resources to save lives, via improved organization of commodity markets and more effective local management. By working in association with governments and other NGO partners, CHAI is focused on large scale impact and, to date, CHAI has secured lower pricing agreements for treatment options in more than 70 countries. In addition, CHAI’s teams are working side-by-side with over 30 governments to tackle many of the largest barriers to effective treatment and care.

CHAI is supported out of our Boston headquarters. We are seeking a driven and capable coordinator for our HR and Recruitment department. This individual will support a human resources function that provides service to CHAI’s staff in more than 40 countries around the world. The HR & Recruitment group partners with country and global teams to provide a strategic and coherent approach to the management of one of CHAI’s most valued assets - the people working with us who individually and collectively contribute to the achievement of the objectives of the business. This involves employing people, developing their capacities, utilizing, maintaining and compensating their services in tune with the job and organizational requirements.

Responsibilities:

Recruitment:

  • Support Global Recruitment team through creation and maintenance of weekly meeting agendas. Record strong supportive notes to send out on a weekly basis. Update Global Recruitment team on a frequent basis in regards to action items resulting out of weekly meetings
  • Manage process of job posting requisition requests from all Global Recruiters for a high volume of positions. Post job descriptions by reaching out to career service contacts at colleges and universities and through online submissions at job posting websites. Delegate posting requests to team of volunteers appropriately
  • Train Recruitment Team volunteers for each volunteer session: spring, summer and fall
  • Conduct reference checks for all finalist candidates
  • Provide a high level of customer service to applicants, candidates, hiring managers and various stakeholders both internally and external to CHAI
  • Develop PowerPoint presentations and other media to assist with the department’s communication efforts; work with the Recruitment Team to identify needs and fill gaps
  • Create process documents to ensure efficiency and uniformity through the department
  • Represent CHAI at local outreach events at colleges and universities
  • Support Global Recruiters with complex scheduling and other duties as assigned

Human Resources:

  • Maintain, monitor and manage accuracy and integrity of employee information in HRIS system and both electronic and hard files
  • Run and distribute HRIS reports on a timely basis
  • Process transactions in an accurate and timely manner in HRIS system
  • Conduct regular audits on HR related processes and benefits
  • Complete employment verifications
  • Manage the onboarding process for new hires

Departmental:

  • Provide administrative support to HR staff
  • Manage between 2-4 HR and Recruitment Volunteers
  • Attend and take notes at meetings and conference calls
  • Collaborate with team on the timely and accurate submission of expense reports
  • Manage invoices
  • Maintain internal and external newsletters for HR & Recruitment

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree
  • Ability to work independently and with a high level of initiative and self-motivation
  • Very strong interpersonal skills including excellent written and oral communication
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Proven ability to multi-task effectively and function in a fast-paced work environment
  • Possesses confidence, maturity, responsibility and resourcefulness
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Platform; experience with HRIS or Applicant Tracking Systems a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with a sense of urgency, accuracy and timeliness
  • Interest in human resources/recruitment as a profession is strongly preferred
