WildAid - Climate Program Manager
WildAid, is seeking a passionate, entrepreneurial team player for the newly created position of Climate Program Manager (CPM). Reporting to the Managing Director and based in San Francisco, the CPM is responsible for the successful implementation of the “5 To Do Today” campaign in China and the United States. From establishing goals and success factors for the campaign, to developing project plans and growing the budget from $200,000 to $1,000,000, the Climate Program Manager will balance overall campaign program management, cost and scope.

The illegal wildlife trade is estimated to be worth over $10 billion per year and has drastically reduced many wildlife populations around the world. The Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will be an experienced climate change professional committed to WildAid’s mission. Since WildAid is a growing, global organization, the successful candidate will be comfortable with ambiguity and excited by the opportunity to work in a dynamic, nimble, start-up-like environment. Self-motivated and driven to get things done, the ideal candidate is an excellent, proactive communicator and successful collaborator with stakeholders internally and externally. Ideally, candidates will have past fundraising experience and have spent part of their career working in the area of international conservation and/or international development. The ideal candidate will be well versed in media and producing creative content that aligns strategically with campaign goals.
Additional Considerations
A minimum of 5 years related work experience in a climate change, environmental, or alternative energy agency, organization or company, in relevant positions of increasing scope and responsibility

Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Personal qualities of integrity and credibility are essential

A Bachelor’s degree is required and an advanced degree is a plus

Spoken Mandarin is an advantage

Grant writing, corporate partnerships, and innovative resource development are highly valued

A background in media, communications, public relations, new media, marketing, advertising, or experience in television/video production is an asset
