AJC seeks a dynamic and motivated Assistant Director of Development in our Chicago office.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Organize and implement fundraising activities including events and gift solicitations
  • Work with the Campaign Chair, Campaign Cabinet and board members
  • Implement fundraising events with honorees with set target goals. S/he will be responsible for reaching these goals
  • Solicit and maintain ongoing contact with current donors to promote repeat donations and follow-up periodically with former donors to get them to contribute again.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • Minimum 5-10 years of fundraising experience with a proven track record
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, well organized, tenacious, goal-oriented and have strong oral and written communication skills. S/he will possess a strong power of persuasion.
