Director of Foundations and Corporations

JBFCS is seeking a full-time Director of Foundations and Corporations.

This position will report directly to the Director of Development and Philanthropy and be charged with significantly increasing our agency's revenue from private foundations and corporations over the next several years. The Director will steward existing foundation partnerships and cultivate relationships with new funders. The ideal candidate will have impeccable grant writing skills, a successful fundraising background, be team-oriented, and thrive in a fast-paced, campaign-driven environment. We seek an individual who will take the initiative in developing relationships with the corporate community and partner comfortably with our volunteer services team to help foster multi-faceted and fruitful relationships that include hands-on contributions to our programs as well as financial support. We are looking for an individual who can supervise a small staff of grant writers (internal and freelance), relate well with Program Directors and Executive Staff, Grants Officers, m anagement and all members of a hardworking, and creative External Affairs team. Diverse responsibilities include identifying new prospects, seeking creative ways to package the complex work of JBFCS for funders, identifying likely corporate funders, creating relationships with new and existing funders through in-person meetings, phone calls and emails.; developing and facilitating timely and effective planning and budgeting.

Qualified candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree (Master's degree preferred) and have 7-10 years relevant work experience, strong computer skills. Excellent interpersonal, presentation and written/verbal communications skills are essential. Writing samples will be required. Knowledge of Raiser's Edge a plus. Salary commensurate with experience.
