Fairfield County Community Foundation - Market Researcher
The Market Researcher is responsible for collecting and analyzing data on demographics and trends in Fairfield County. This is initially a three-month role, with the potential to become a permanent part-time position. The researcher will work closely with an outside consultant hired to design protocols, conduct community ‘listening posts’, undertake interviews and convene focus groups to assess needs in the county.
Responsibilities:
- Research, compile and analyze economic, demographic and educational data for Fairfield County.
- Identify emerging trends and issues or regional importance.
- Prepare reports on findings with recommended priority focus areas for the Foundation for the next 3-5 years.
- Research best practices in nonprofit evaluation and effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree and preferably a Master’s degree in a related field such as statistics, public administration, sociology, psychology, finance, library sciences, etc.
- Proven track record of effective research methodology and design.
- Proven track record of accurate data gathering and statistical analysis.
- Good writing skills.
- Highly organized.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of Fairfield County and Community Foundations a plus.
