Outreach and Program Director

Single Stop USA seeks to hire an Outreach and Program Director to work with the Director of New York Programs to implement a strategic outreach and education plan for the World Trade Center Health Program, funded through a grant by National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conduct outreach presentation and distribute materials to educate communities on the World Trade Center Health Program
• Develop awareness citywide by organizing community events, activities, and groups.
• Attending community meetings and representing the agency in a professional manner.
• Track program implementation and referrals
• Assist in the development, implementation, and monitoring of program procedures for effective service delivery
• Develop and maintain working relationships with stakeholders to support program development and implementation
• Assist in the preparation of grant reports

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be willing to travel citywide
• Demonstrated commitment to social and economic justice
• Bachelor’s Degree required
• 3-5 years of experience working in community organizing and/or outreach and education programs
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment, manage and prioritize multiple tasks and work with attention to detail
• Ability to critically assess effectiveness of strategies and make adjustments as needed
• Demonstrated ability to relate to and work with diverse groups of people
• Strong writing, communication & listening skills
• Willingness to work long, irregular, evening or weekends as needed.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, Power Point, Access and database management
• Must be multi-lingual
