American Pakistan Foundation - Associate
The American Pakistan Foundation seeks an associate to join our New York office. The associate will assist in the affairs of the executive office, projects and initiatives, and operational activities.
Responsibilities
- Respond to mail and email correspondences for the leadership as necessary
- Prepare briefings, background materials and minutes for meetings
- Support the leadership as needed in creating strong written materials including internal and external presentations, reports, memos, speeches, white papers, blogs and updates
- Conduct research for special projects
- Collaborate with partners to coordinate and manage the initiatives of the foundation
- Develop concept notes, presentations and proposals to garner support for projects and initiatives
- Broaden pipeline of projects and develop new partnerships
- Assist in planning and executing internal and external events such as leadership meetings, community outreach events, roundtable discussions, forums, roadshows and fundraising events
- Ensure delivery of effective communications
- Liaison with the service providers of the foundation
- Handle matters related to the leadership and organization with confidentiality and discretion
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in international relations, development, public administration, or non-profit management; Master’s or professional degree preferred
- Minimum three years of work experience in International development, non-profit or management consulting
- Superb verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail
- Excellent organization, planning and project management skills
- Aptitude to thrive in a goal-oriented, fast-paced, and entrepreneurial environment
- Ability to approach challenges with results-oriented attitude
- Ability to prioritize workload and manage deadlines and multi-task in a fast-paced setting
