CAFAmerica - Grants Assistant
About the Charities Aid Foundation of America
The Charities Aid Foundation of America (CAFAmerica) is an independent public charity and an international grant maker. CAFAmerica's mission is to increase the flow of charitable funds beyond U.S. borders by providing grant making and advisory services. As our Grants Assistant you will play a key role in the development and dissemination of key organizational information, and the maintenance of the CAFAmerica brand. We currently serve corporations, foundations, non-U.S. charities and individuals who want their international giving to be safe, easy and effective.
Our solutions reduce the burden of administering an international grant making program, minimize corporate risk and liability, and help ensure that philanthropic goals are achieved. Our donors support a wide variety of charitable causes. Because American donors cannot give directly to foreign nonprofits and obtain a tax-deduction, CAFAmerica (as a U.S. public charity) accepts fund from American donors who can then recommend that CAFAmerica use those funds to support foreign nonprofits. CAFAmerica then manages all the administrative requirements and ensures that the grant will arrive safely and be in accordance with all applicable domestic and foreign regulations.
CAFAmerica is a member of the CAF International Network with offices and partner organizations in the United Kingdom, Australia, India, Singapore, Russia, Bulgaria, South Africa and Brazil. Of the more than $4 billon of charitable funds managed worldwide by CAF International, CAFAmerica makes an average of 1,500 grants annually to legitimate foreign nonprofits in over 75 countries. Since 2005, CAFAmerica and the CAF American Donor Fund have safely delivered over $180 million in grants to a variety of non-U.S. charities, allowing U.S. donors to achieve the 'life changing' impact they are looking for.
