Muntu Dance Theatre - Director, Finance and Administration
Newly created position responsible for the finance and administration functions of a growing performing arts organization (current budget approximately $900, 000 and is expected to significantly expand over the next 2-3 years). Reports to the president, manages small staff, and is accountable to the Finance Committee of the Board of Directors. Functional responsibilities include (but not limited to): financial planning & reporting, cash flow projections, budget development and forecasting, banking and audit firm relations, contracts with outside providers. Position also has oversight responsibility for bookkeeping, accounting, information systems, facility maintenance, and human resource administration.
Candidates will have successfully managed a broad-based financial function, preferably in a revenue-generating nonprofit or private service organization. Should have supervisory experience for exempt and non-exempt staff. Must have demonstrated ability to develop and administer all aspects of the financial responsibilities of the position. Must be hands-on individual, willing and able to work with volunteer Board members and nonprofit managers. Minimal education requirement: BA in business, accounting or finance.
