Hudson River Museum - Development Assistant
Founded in 1919, the Hudson River Museum is a multi-disciplinary cultural complex that draws its identity from its site on the banks of the Hudson River, and seeks to broaden the horizons of all its visitors. It engages in the presentation of exhibitions, programs, teaching initiatives, research, collecting, preservation, and conservation—a wide range of activities that interpret its collections, interest and communities. The Museum enhances peoples’ understanding of the art, history and science of the region, and does this out of a commitment to lifelong learning. The Museum’s facilities include the only public planetarium between New York City and Albany; galleries that showcase changing exhibitions and pieces from the Museum’s permanent collection; the historic house Glenview; the environmental gallery Hudson Riverama; and the Joyce Greene Education Center. In addition to its exhibitions and related programs, the Museum offers a full complement of public programs exploring the Hudson River, the natural sciences, local regional history, and astronomy.
