U.S. Fund for UNICEF - Online Producer, Interactive Marketing

The U.S. Fund for UNICEF is the voice for UNICEF in the United States, working for the survival of children around the world through fundraising, education, and advocacy. For more than 60 years, UNICEF has been the world's leader for children saving more young lives than any other humanitarian organization. The Fund invites qualified candidates to apply for the position delineated below.

Reporting to the Managing Director, Direct & Interactive Marketing, the Online Producer will bring his/her expertise in the art and science of interactive content development and deployment to bear to support the work of the U.S. Fund for UNICEF. He/she will be responsible for ensuring that all department output (a) is both consumer- and search engine-friendly, (2) incorporates aspirational "Zero" messaging, and (3) effectively supports the strategic goals of the organization.

Key Responsibilities/Outcomes (include but are not limited to):

  • Deployment of new interactive websites and features; project management of site redesigns.
  • Maintenance of a calendar of homepage and website content that supports the department's marketing initiatives, organization-wide efforts, and emerging opportunities as they arise.
  • Regular review of unicef.org for relevant news features and transformation of same into content for unicefusa.org.
  • Ensuring that all website content is optimized to engage USF's audiences, to rank high in search engines, to be meaningful when appearing “out of context,” and to meet brand and style guidelines.
  • Regularly convene all organizational bloggers to coordinate appropriate and timely coverage of issues related to child survival and to support all integrated marketing calendar activity.
  • Craft compelling and search-friendly headlines for homepage features, blog entries, website sections, etc.
  • Create blog entries, website copy and e-mail and mobile copy as necessary.
  • Promote QA and development of web-friendly writing style among IM team members as well as broader USF staff.
  • Staff supervision, support and performance management of Production Officer and Coordinator

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of five years related professional experience in online content development and marketing, or the equivalent combination education and experience is required.
  • Must be a strong team player with excellent writing, editing, interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of web writing and editing, project management, HTML, Photoshop, website analytics, CMSs and other interactive technologies required.
