Adjunct Lecturer

SUNY Manhattan Educational Opportunity Center - Adjunct Lecturer

The SUNY Manhattan Educational Opportunity Center, which is administered by Borough of Manhattan Community College, is looking for instructors to teach in our adult education programs. Instructors are needed to teach in the areas of ESL, GED (Social Studies/Science), Customer Service, Financial Literacy, and Job Readiness. Each teaching position is limited to a maximum of 10 hours of instruction per week. Day classes are scheduled between 9am-2pm; evening classes are scheduled between 5pm-10pm. Please indicate in cover letter your availability for day or evening classes and subject matter expertise.

Qualifications Required:

  • Minimum B.A. degree in relevant subject matter
  • At least one year teaching experience (1 yr.+)

Preferred:

  • Masters degree in TESOL for ESL, subject area or education
  • Experience working with a diverse population
  • Experience teaching adult students

Salary: $64.84/hr.
