The Education Trust—West (ETW) seeks a full-time Project Manager to assist in leading our new work around Multiple Pathways. This project will inform, focus, and coordinate ETW’s work on closing achievement and opportunity gaps, working with schools and districts around California.
The Education Trust—West works for the high academic achievement of all students at all levels, kindergarten through college, to forever close the achievement gaps that separate low-income students and students of color from other youth. Major Responsibilities
Primary duties include, but are not limited to:
- Manage the work for a new grant around Multiple Pathways including:
- Overall tracking of grant requirements and taking the lead on grant reports and updates to funders,
- Engaging Districts who are part of the California Multiple Pathways District Initiative in initial conversations about working with ETW,
- Working with Multiple Pathway’s partner districts to analyze the level of rigorous academic and career technical education students receive,
- Examining efforts to integrate rigorous academic and career technical education into meaningful courses preparing students for both college and career,
- Developing reports reflecting that analysis in all of our Multiple Pathways partner districts,
- Assisting in evaluating a certification tool for districts implementing Multiple Pathways ensuring equity in access and opportunities for all students,
- Working with the ETW outreach department to inform community organizations on Multiple Pathways,
- Working with outside organizations to further develop our knowledge around Multiple Pathways.
- Assist in Audit and Blueprint work in districts working with EdTrust—West around moving the "A-G for all" agenda including:
- Analyzing enrollment, achievement, and attainment data
- Assisting in the production of ETW Audit and Blueprint reports and presentations
- Participate in school visits in partner districts
- Conduct data presentations and awareness sessions to districts and organizations around EdTrust—West work with high school reform
- Participate in overall research, data collection, and product production of the Practice Team as needed
- Finding, reading, evaluating, and summarizing research regarding effective practices and policies around accelerated learning, student assessment, accountability, rigorous curricula, and high standards and goals for all, including writing synopses and reports
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Experience
- Knowledge of Multiple Pathways and rigorous and successful CTE reforms
- Experience in career technical education at the high school level
- Minimum 5 years teaching experience at the high school level or administrative experience at high school and/or district levels
- Experience in high school reform
- Highly analytical, ability to see trends and synthesize complex information
- Familiarity/experience with issues of access, teacher quality, instructional practice, and curriculum as they relate to raising achievement
- Results-oriented, achievement-driven approach to tasks
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Ability to collaborate well with others, both inside and outside the organization
- Ability to communicate findings from policy and data analysis to a diverse audience
- Experience with and ability to balance multiple demands and deadlines with composure
- Knowledge of issues relevant to education and the achievement gap
- Bachelor's degree required
- Master’s degree preferred
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, are essential
Compensation
Salary is commensurate with experience, within the parameters of the Education Trust compensation scale. EXCELLENT benefits package provided.
