Deputy Director of Champions Clubs

Youth development and education leader needed!

Sports & Arts in Schools Foundation (SASF) is New York's leading provider of after-school programs. We seek to help bridge the academic performance gap among under-achieving students and in low income neighborhoods through wholesome, skill-building activities that include sports, arts, and academics.

The Deputy Director is critical to supporting the organization achieve its mission and has overall responsibility for the growth, quality and success of all Champion Program operations. SASF is seeking a strong leader with extensive experience and knowledge of OST Youth Programs to join our team and oversee the operation and success of over 70 comprehensive after school programs throughout the 5 boroughs. He/she will be responsible for overseeing a team of Sr Program Managers that are each responsible for at least 10 Champions Clubs comprising over 1,000 total staff. He/she will have oversight of all program budgets, development and supervision of managers, and accountability for ensuring sites meet all governmental and funder requirements including DOE, DYCD, & DOH.

If you have extensive experience in running multiple after-school programs and are a strategic, results-oriented, and innovative leader that is committed to the mission of youth development than this is the job for you! The right candidate will be able to demonstrate strong conflict resolution, decision making, and crisis management skills, and be able to clearly articulate outcome requirements while providing the necessary and appropriate resources and support for staff to successfully deliver on stated objectives. He/she will need to demonstrate superior analytical and presentation skills and be able to effectively report on program outcomes and evaluations.

Min 5 years' experience managing multiple youth programs. Bachelors in Education or related field required. Master's strongly preferred.
