Wildlife Conservation Society - Assistant Director, Planned Giving
The Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS), a leading global conservation organization and premier cultural institution is recruiting for an Assistant Director, Planned Giving. This position will oversee all aspects of WCS’s planned giving program. Develop and implement strategies to maintain and grow the program, with an emphasis on taking a pro-active approach to building WCS’s planned giving portfolio and commitments.
B.A./B.S. Required. Graduate/professional degree such as MBA or law degree preferred. Five (5) or more years of development experience, with at least 3 years of direct experience in planned giving; proven ability to achieve program and revenue growth by working directly with donors/prospects; experience managing the work of staff, outside consultants/vendors; outstanding writing, organizational and interpersonal skills, including ability to develop effective planned giving materials which attract and maintain support; demonstrated ability to work independently and to interact successfully with high-level donors/prospects and senior program staff; expertise in and a sophisticated understanding of planned giving vehicles, estate planning and financial reporting and tax implications of various planned giving products and compliance; great attention to detail; strong interest in WCS mission. Legal background a plus. Well-traveled or at least a working knowledge of global issues and geography. Experience with Raisers Edge (or similar fundraising database), PG Calc and prospect research skills are preferred. Benefit package will be commensurate with experience.
