Communications and Marketing Manager

Founded in 1967, The Saban Free Clinic is the oldest continuously operating free clinic in the nation. The Clinic provides free medical and dental care and social services to the uninsured and working poor people of Los Angeles. Through its high standard of care and partnerships with Cedars Sinai Medical Center, Kaiser Permanente, Children's Hospital, and the UCLA School of Dentistry, the Clinic provides over 100,000 patient visits throughout its four sites each year.

Position Summary: Responsible for the overall management and coordination of The Saban Free Clinic's communications and marketing program. Oversee all Clinic internal and external publications (newsletters, brochures, annual reports, e-newsletters, videos, and Web Site). Develop marketing strategies to inform the community about Clinic services. Develop and implement media strategies in partnership with the Clinic's Development Division. Assist the office of the Chief Executives in developing advocacy programs, media strategy, and community outreach activities.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing or related field plus 3-5 years of work experience.
2. Experience in working with the press, especially working with the entertainment industry professionals.
3. Prior experience with web page development and maintenance. Excellent writing and editing skills required.
4. Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
5. Experience with desktop publishing.
6. Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point and desktop publishing software packages.
7. Valid California driver's license required.
