Project Manager - Principal Gifts, University of Chicago
Job Summary:
- Provides administrative support for meetings such as scheduling and document preparation. Serves as the Griffin database "power user" and in-house expert with a special emphasis on extracting and analyzing data from the Griffin system. Maintains constituent records as well as prepares custom and ad hoc reports, spreadsheets, graphs and charts;
- Delegates assignments strategically among advancement team members, such as GEMS reporting, scheduling of team meetings, data entry and report generation. Monitors completion of all post visit-activity such as call reports, and next steps. Proactively prepares reports to monitor progress-to-goal of fundraisers and other team members;
- Coordinates and tracks letters, proposals, correspondence, report requests and other deliverables for the Principal Gifts team. Requests donor or prospect research and prospect management reports for strategy sessions, team meetings, pipeline discussions and other meetings;
- Assists in coordinating the calendar of Institutional Leaders with the Principal Gift Officers. Monitors scheduling requests for University leadership, Trustees and campaign leadership. Acts as team liaison to Special Events and Strategic Communications. Coordinates protocol and standards for event management and tracking, briefing preparation, data entry and reporting within ARD;
- Manages deliverables for Alumni Relations and Development Committee (ARDC) and Campaign Planning Group (CPG) and their members. Tracks and records activities of members of the ARDC and CPG groups and campaign leadership in fundraising activities. Provides assistance for regular VP contact with Board Chair and campaign leadership such as managing agenda items and compiling deliverables;
- Manages all aspects of departmental projects under the guidance of manager. Coordinates the activities of applicable project teams, identifies appropriate resources needed and develops schedules to ensure the timely completion of projects. Communicates project status with key stakeholders as directed.
Education: Bachelor's degree or higher required.
Experience:
- Minimum of three years of nonprofit management, development, alumni relations, marketing, public relations or similar work experience required;
- Minimum of one year of leading a project team or managing staff required;
- Minimum of one year experience of developing and monitoring budgets required.
