Friends of the Children - Vice President, Business Development
Friends of the Children is an innovative and growing nonprofit organization. Established in 1993, Friends of the Children has a simple but remarkable goal: to provide the most vulnerable children a caring, supportive, and sustained relationship with an adult role model, called a Friend. Twenty years later, a national network of five chapters with a total of 114 Friends is guiding, supporting and mentoring nearly 800 children who attend more than 150 schools throughout New York, Boston, Seattle, Portland and Klamath Falls, OR. Friends of the Children has an annual fundraising goal of $8.5 million.
The Vice President will work closely with the President of Friends of the Children, the Executive Director of the Friends of the Children New York chapter, and key board volunteers to develop relationships with major donors who will support Friends of the Children with gifts of $10,000 or more.
