Boys Hope Girls Hope - Residential Counselor
Boys Hope Girls Hope is a unique, private scholarship program seeking two Residential Counselors to work with the dynamic youth participating in the long-term program to expand their horizons and graduate college. The youth are promising students who want to accomplish greatness but were previously impeded by the environment around them. We are seeking two live-in Residential Counselors for both our Girls Home.
Each staff member is responsible for working with a team to:
- produce an environment of achievement
- meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the young women or men teach social and independent living skills expose the youth to new opportunities and activities guide youth in college preparation and educational attainment build relationships with families and volunteers maintain a healthy and responsible environment through discipline, organization and systems.
- Live-in staff is provided private, furnished living quarters, and meals at no cost, in addition to financial compensation.
Qualified applicants must be at least 21 years of age and have a Bachelors degree from an accredited school in social work, psychology, counseling, education, or a related field, and experience working with a similar population that would equal at least one-year full-time work. A High School diploma is also acceptable with the equivalent of two years full-time work with a similar population.
Live-in positions require living in the home with the youth, so be sure you can make that commitment before responding. A valid driver's license is also required.
